Does basic strategy guarantee profit?

No. Basic strategy reduces mistakes and can lower the house edge, but blackjack still has variance and can remain negative expectation depending on rules.

Should beginners learn counting first?

No. Learn rules and basic strategy first. Counting is only useful when normal decisions are automatic.

Why does the trainer recommend surrender?

Late surrender is correct for a few weak hands against strong dealer upcards. If surrender is unavailable, use the fallback action.

Why split 8s?

Hard 16 is weak. Splitting 8s creates two more playable starting points.

Can I change the table rules?

Yes. The simulator settings include deck count, H17 or S17, blackjack payout, double after split, late surrender, ten-value splitting, maximum split hands, and split-ace handling.

Why does soft 18 sometimes hit or double?

Soft 18 is flexible because the ace can count as 1. Against strong dealer cards, standing is not always the best long-run play.

What does double if allowed mean?

It means double when the rules allow it. If the table blocks the double, use the fallback action shown by the chart or trainer.

Why does card counting use true count?

A running count has different meaning depending on how many decks remain. True count adjusts the number so a six-deck shoe and a one-deck shoe can be compared.

Is this gambling advice?

No. BlackjackPro is an educational practice tool and does not promise profit.
